Filmmaker Hassan Fat’hi, famous for his historical TV series including “The Heroes Never Die”, was also invited to the ceremony. Fat’hi made the opening speech and said, “People of my generation must never forget that Iran’s acting was developed under the influence of great actors like Mashayekhi”
“When I decided to cast Mashayekhi in the role of Hero Khalil in 1994, his stage presence and manner of speech gave me a feeling of calmness that assured me of our success with the series ‘The Heroes Never Die’,” he said.
“I believe he is a composite of all good characters,” he added, expressing hope that he can produce more films and TV series with Mashayekhi.
Actor Mohammadreza Sharifinia who is playing the role of Fat’hali Shah of theQajar dynasty in “Foggy Tabriz” by director Mohammadreza Varzi next expressed his pleasure in attending the celebration of the master.
Also at the ceremony, Curator of Golestan Palace Masud Sharifi congratulated the master on his birthday, wishing him all the best and thanking all the cast and crew.
He said that most of the Iranian nation remembers their childhood with the actor on silver screens and how they enjoyed that time.
Actor and photographer Asghar Bichareh was next who continued, “I am always a beginner and am happy to have collaborated with the master all these years.”
Actor Mohammad Moti spoke of his longtime friendship with Mashayekhi. “Jamshid was appearing in films and TV series from the time that TV sets were not found in every Iranian home. We hope we can continue to grow and learn from him.
Then, actress Kamand Amirsoleimani presented a gift to Mashayekhi. The event was finally brought to an end with screening selections from the numerous films and series Mashayekhi had acted in over the years.
